Yes I think so. Because I can't understand playing someone YOU think is unattractive. Its a totally different story if YOU think they're good looking and no one else sees it, but role playing is about having fun, and why would you EVER play someone you're personally repulsed by?

Yeah, 'cause all books should be written about pretty nice folk, and all movies should only star swimsuit models who work out fifteen hours a day.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll just wish a pox on gelosia's head and get back to reading Garth Nix.

However, if you held up a card of a picture of someone very ugly, its no doubt that the majority of people are going to tick them off in the ugly box, and that's that. If anyone were to tick differently, they're probably feeling some other emotion, such as pity. That's just how human beings work, it has to do with finding a good healthy potential mate for viable offspring and such.

I wonder what it says about me that I realized the other day that I've come to look like one of my RP characters.

I played this character for a couple months in a tabletop a friend ran before it came to an end. She was more petite than I am, but had dark brown hair in a short bob and tended to wear camo pants, hiking boots, and shirts that didn't match.

At the time, I had long red hair. Over a year has passed since then with various style changes until I looked in the mirror the other day and realized I now have the exact hair color and style of my old character. And that camo cargo pants and hiking boots have become a staple of my lazy day, around the house wardrobe.

My shirts usually go with my pants, though. I'm slightly more fashion forward than Kelly I suppose.

And now for my thoughts on yaoi...
