Breastfeeding! It's worse than child porn!
Forgive me if I do anything wrong on this one. I've been lurking for awhile, but it's my first wank, so try to be gentle.
The Powerpuff Girls fandom has fallen into relative obscurity over the past few years, but I'm surprised that it hasn't appeared on F_W more often, due to the epic amounts of wank it's created since it first appeared on air over ten years ago. Luckily for everyone, wank has reappeared (as it usually does) on DeviantArt!
It all starts when marcosbnpinto draws a relatively innocuous picture of (an adult version of) Buttercup breastfeeding her girlfriend's baby. Most people comment on how it's cute and generally are not bothered. That is, until blackhellcat, purveyor of PPGorn, appears on the scene! She is disgusted! But boobies have nothing to do with it!
The first sparks of wank appear not in the comments, but on marcosbnpintos' user page. Blackhellcat has since hidden her own comments, but one can get a general idea of the wankery by reading marcosbnpintos' replies.
Further investigation reveals why blackhellcat is so incredibly offended! But not before she threatens to leave the entire fandom!
"I idolized Buttercup because she's a very unusual girl. Because she's a tough, independent-minded young lady. Because she's not feminine at all. Because she isn't too likely to become a tender and motherly, if not conventional woman one day. Because she doesn't follow the rules that makes all women agree to if they want to be good people. Because she's a good person in her own "antihero" way.
But no. She has to have a baby even with a girlfriend and sacrifice herself completely to nurture it and spoil it, too. And at a age when the kid's TOO old for (barf) tit milk to boot."
OMG! How dare a young spunky girl grow up to be... (dun dun DUN) A LOVING MOTHER??
Oh, also child porn hurts no one. NO ONE DAMN IT!:
"Our beloved little Powerpuff Girls are of course, no expectation. They have been abused and exploited all the way to Moon and back ever since they first aired on TV almost ten years ago. And I'm not exactly an innocent bystander, either. In fact, I did suffer from a touch of "lolicon" - worse, "toddlerkon" when I FELL for tough-as-nails young Buttercup. (I got over that a long ago, not to worry.)
However, the only good thing about the whole thing is that there's NO ACTUAL LIVING THING harmed during the whole production. And that we also know better simply to ignore each other if we don't like it."
Ranting follows, which would be tl;dr if it weren't so amazing hilarious. All of the commenters tend to agree with her, because if you disagree with blackhellcat, the blockhammer is sure to fall in record time!
Of course, all of this is too too much, and blackhellcat soons decides that she is (despite previous indications) leaving the fandom forever. And ever and ever.
Late ETA: Blackhellcat returns from her epically long absence! And she is so totally over this whole Buttercup thing. Except for this insanely long rant. The whole thing is pretty much just a giant key-smashing of crazy, but two particularly bizarre quotes jump out immediately:
"You can even make Buttercup a complete Stepford wife for all I care in your own fan-work; just DON'T share it with me or even LET me see! Ok?"
"Needless to say, if Buttercup was a real person, she would probably be SO embarrassed by the whole thing she'd take off to another galaxy and never return. She'll also HATE me for it, too."
I want to comment, but all my mind seems to be able to conjure up is "Gaah?"
