Let's Play: Wank Edition (Or, deleting comments: SERIOUS BUSINESS)
Once upon a time on Something Awful, there was a subforum called Let's Play. The premise of this subforum was to play through games and do funny commentary on them. Some of these Let's Players put their work up on youtube, and this caused a Let's Play community to grow outside of Something Awful, on Youtube.

Of course, this also brings the problems, the elitism, and the wank.


Okay, so a while ago a youtube LPer named ActionBastardAway decided to do a Let's Play of a game called Balloon Kid. Nothing special there.

Well, then, a while later, famous SA let's player Deceased Crab decided to Let's Play THAT SAME GAME.


Now, no problem, right? Wrong.


Action Bastard tried to leave a comment on one of Deceased Crab's Balloon Kid videos, mentioning how he had already let's played the game. But Deceased Crab approves comments before they get posted, and did not approve AB's comment.


OH TEH NOES. BUTTHURT TIME.

Of course, this causes Action Bastard to make a video about it and post it on youtube. He took it down after some time

Other youtube LPer UltraJman posts a video to try and stop the shitstorm from happening. Too bad it didn't help.

Something Awful LPers decide to 'lampoon the Youtube LP community' in their words.

Well, this doesn't go well at all as you would expect.

UltraJman posts another video, asking SA to cut the crap.

Dear LP community:
Recently, a schism has been created between the SomethingAwful and YouTube LP communities, largely due to the complaints of one 'actionbastardaway.' I would like to humbly request that you people all just get the hell over it. Seriously, people, being on SA does not make an LP better, nor does being on YouTube make it worse, and vice versa. Come on, this is ridiculous. Will you please just knock it off?

So, the LPers United is, as expected, a front of mediocrity. From what I can tell it only includes 4 people, UltraJMan, Unbeknownst, Expotemkin, and ActionBastardwhateverthehelltherestofhisnamewas.
