Following the latest Hellsing OVA release in Japan, razorknives wants to know why the series isn't a worldwide phenomenon.

Minor digs at Harry Potter, Paris Hilton, Naruto and Bleach, with a side order of macros, bashing and maybe some real discussion buried in there somewhere.

Already we have post deletions, so get hot it while you still can.

I'm only vaguely familiar with Hellsing, but the CAPSLOCK OF RAGE!!! and long string of deleted comments is something special indeed.

Hellsing is made for a specific audience. It is supposed to only attract a cult following. It's like Supernatural. Supernatural isn't supposed to appeal to everyone.

Naruto, Harry Potter, Bleach... all have characters that people can relate to (they go to school, fall in love, have friendship issues etc etc).

What's wrong if something isn't mainstream? Hasn't the OP realized most people in the mainstream are stupid anyway? Maybe that is why he's so obsessed with it. < / thoughts on yaoi>

Besides, Celes's big boobs poke the eyes out of the censors. They're also directly proportional to the size of her gun.

Yeah, I think we got that. In other news, I kind of hate the use of parentheses to denote action. Possibly because it reminds me of a certain forum I frequent where all too often children write "(crys)" and even "(is rly crying)" but it just... ugh. Then again, he seems to share the same sort of mentality, so.

You know, I kind of find it funny that "Nazis" seems to be the single reason most people are giving there as to the lack of popularity. I don't know the series, but — what? Are they portrayed as the good guys? Nazis certainly never stopped anything from rising to the heights of fame before. Sound of Music hello? Or, you know, all those Oscar-winning (or nominated) films about WWII... I'd cite the vampires as the reason before Nazis.
