UFO Hunters Conspiracy Wank
UFO Hunters is a new show on the History Channel trying to soak up the popularity of Paranormal State, Destination Truth, and Ghost Hunters by presenting a "scientific" view on the UFO phenomena (and I'm fully addicted to the tinhattery of the show XD). Anyway, this week's episode had to do with reverse engineering, the concept that the human race is too stupid to create toys like the Stealth Fighter so obviously got some help from aliens (ie see UFO explanation of Stonehenge/Pyramids).

Not only their sources were people who have been convicted of fraud but they didn't have any scientific evidence and their main hitch turned out to be pictures that were proven fakes on Youtube (and later by an imaging expert on the show). The people on the History Channel forums are not impressed and people have been bashing the episode ad nauseum, pulling out their pseudo-science definitions and sporting fake degrees in engineering.

There is one precious little gem Here written by a user known as "hunted" warned the hosts of the show that if they get too close bad things will happen! OH NOES!

People one after another, pounce on the user calling him a harmonian a delusional whack job and ask for real evidence for his claims. He shoots back that no one understands.

He gains possible sock puppets friends like "Man out of time" who states that the show is probably government controlled and that is why it is so bad. You know, the whole theory, give those people "who know the truth" a bone so they'll shut up but in reality it is just a tinhat. Once again, it is Man Out Of Time's turn to get jumped on on the forum calling him idiotic, tossing out pseudo-scientific definitions, and asking for proof.

From "Hunted"

"This is for the Hunters. You don't know me but if you get to close to the truth the goverment will shut you down. I know. There is a reason that the Air Force and all other goverments keep ufo sightings under wraps. For one they are not unidentified. ( Catch 22 for any one asking questions about UFO's they will tell you they don't exist and they are right because they know exactly what they are.) Let me put it this way, if the truth ever got out then the whole world would be thrown into total caos. The goverments ( not just U.S.) will only let you get so far. So let me know when you step over that line."

Some responses back are rather amusing and not taking Hunter serious like Major Skidmark:
I don;t think the "Hunters" have to worry. I'm not sure they could find water if they fell out of a boat.

Then there are some users who completely get all up in arms like SEN:

Give me a break.

Explain yourself otherwise who's gonna take you seriously?

First-

If 'YOU KNOW' or 'HAVE ANSWERS' then apply to it the equation being presented here in these forums. Sounds like you know something about 'stepping over the line'. What would that be?

Second-

The world is already in chaos so what difference would it make?

Make your point otherwise you are being extremely vague like 90% of the posting in here, 100% of all the UFO documentaries that seen on TV and all the books on store shelves.

Or Govbuster:

The only reason government would do someone about someone getting "too close" is if the investigator is getting too close to secret military operations having to do with things other than UFO.

- If government really has no secret files on UFOs, it would not be able to prove it. It is impossible to prove that something does not exist.

- There is NO credible evidence that space aliens even exist, let alone that they are invading our planet. Anyone who believes otherwise is exhibiting emotional or religious characteristics, not logical thought. Or such a person has been hoodwinked by tabloids with language really intended to sell tabloids.

- If we ever DO discover credible evidence of space aliens, it would be the news of the century.

- Most of the secrecy about UFOs in the 1950s and 60s was really due to the cold war, not the possibility of space aliens. Much of it was caused by secrecy of the procedures needed to detect incoming missiles.

- Most UFOs are caused by ordinary earthly objects seen under unusual conditions.

- There are people who launch fake UFOs to scare other people, or to drive government officials crazy. I saw three of these last year. Many of the "unusual flight characteristics" attributed to UFOs are explained by the flight characteristics of these.

- Often the ground traces, sounds, and odors reported by witnesses have nothing to do with the UFO, but are coincidental.

- I have personally witnessed six cases where a UFO was associated with a power failure. In each case, the power failure caused the UFO, not the other way around.

Then the tinhattery arrives with Man Out of Time:

Gov, Gov, Gov

Lets talk facts...not fiction. Fact militarysecrecy classifications move from level 3 top secret to level 2 Balck projects to level 1 The Alien Projects and you cant even say its name if your on level one. You doubt me, use you limited untelligence and check it out.Secret spy planes? No. And while the sr-71 did fly at Groom Lake, it's Papoose Lake where we store out 40 odd recovered EBE craft. The tan colored doors in the mtn on a dry lake bed were painted to blend in with terrain to prevent Russian satellites from seeing. This facility along with Area 51 and Area17 are used for storage assessment and some flight testing. Area 51 was dug out by the seabees in 1951 hence its name. The hangar floors are hydraulic elevators dropping down 7 or 8 levels. Yes live EBEs are down there working with our top scientists/aerospace people. They have in storage an engine which is a living machine taken from a crashed disc. Their fuel which goes into their annilhilation reactors(element 115) does not exist on earth. We've recovered 500 lbs ot though and are diligently trying to synthetically reproduce it. Once this clay-like maerial is place in the reactor ball it is bombarded by protons andturns from matter to anti-matter in a flashreaction releasing unbelievable amounts of energy. The annilhilation reaction destrys the matter and the ani-matter in the process. But theenergy relased in heat is confined by controlling the heat from radiating out. The heat particuled radiate inward. These bowling ball sized reactors are more powerful than one of out Nuclear power plants ! I'd go on Gov but I'm gettin tired. Being that the Discovery channel just said a raisin size piece of anti-matter touching matter would freate the energy of 23 shuttle launches,...you can see the enormous energy potential in the saucers reactor. Cass is over for today...GOV you'll probably have to stay after for some tutoring,he, he, he

Finally, there is some bleeding heart shit in this wank. Someone made a passing joke about how the main host blinks fifty million times and someone jumps on that person for being insensitive to his "condition".

Big Mowma is offended by a previous post that was meant to be a joke:

If Bill Birnes didn't wear those big aviator sunglasses indoors all of the time he would greatly improve his credibility. What's funny is that he takes them off when he's outdoors, but wears them constantly when he's indoors."

Good grief. I've wasted my time with posts like this before. If you are going to judge someone because of some medical condition, then please go find a cave to dwell in for the rest of your days and bring a mirror.

It's short but oh so *boggles*.

EDIT: I know a lot of people already went through the link I put up but I had to edit the post to make it better and put links and quotes in like some people asked for. Practice makes perfect. And also, my bad about the rape jokes. I didn't realize at the time how offensive some people could find them. I only took them out because it occurred to me just how in bad taste they were. I'll still continue to take my licks like a woman. I will also be more funny next time. XD

EDIT 2: I fail at the HTML. The quote tag didn't work how I wanted so I used italics instead.

I loved that show! I remember when there was only one tv for my mom, my brothers, and I to share, that was the one show we all agreed upon. After a while, it got even more crazy like In Search Of... Your mom's uterus.

Then there was Unsolved Mysteries which I wouldn't watch because the music used to scare me. XD

YAY FOR USELESS TANGENTS!

Ugh, this show is so fake to me, I can't stand it. They seem to just grasp for anything that might be even remotely related to UFOs or aliens and say THIS MAY OR MAY NOT BE PROOF THEY EXIST and make a huge deal out of it. I never saw the Sci-Fi Channel show with the same name that premiered on the same day, but I haven't heard anything good about the one episode it had.

Hunted is a funny troll, though. After reading his original post, I can't believe anyone took him seriously.

I wish the History Channel would show more history than crazy people. :| It seems like every time I look at it there's a new show about Bigfoot or something.

Yay! for conspiracy theorists, they make me so happy. It's the sheer optimism they have.

I see a government that couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery, it would be nice to believe they could manage to organise a conspiracy of this magnitude. At least we'd know there was some degree of competance amongst the powers that be.

I like the Futurama aliens/pyramids theory. "Your ancient Egyptians taught us many things, like how to build pyramids, space travel, and how to prepare our dead so as to scare Abbot and Costello!"

This is most delectable an article. I love how wonderfully nutty the internet is.

Here is a present: go to Google Earth and look for orange dots that look like dates (e.g. 1999-08-12.) Click on them and click the link in the box. BIGFOOT SIGHTINGS!! Kept me entertained for hours when I found out what those dots were for.

ETA reposted for html fix. If this doesn't fix it, I give up.

So, according to Yahoo, The History Channel is changing its name to just History.

ALIEN CONSPIRACY IT MUST BE

I don't know what you guys are complaining about, "o noes, the History Channel doesn't show history!"

Last time I checked the schedule it was something like: The Dark Ages, The Dark Ages, "Barbarians: Huns", "Barbarians: Some Other Guys", High Hitler.

I fell asleep sometime during "Barbarians: Huns" and when I woke up, Ancient Discoveries was on.
