If you live in a major city, chances are you're familiar with the newspaper comic "Boondocks." The comic, drawn by Aaron MacGruder, has an RSS on Livejournal.

For the past week, most of the strips have been on the Kobe Bryant rape case. (Personally, I think the joke got tired after the "Kobe Beef" strip, but that's my opinion.) Today's strip was no exception, comparing the allegations against Bryant to ~~Puff Daddy~~ Sean "P. Diddy" Combs shoplifting from the Gap.

Actually, I kind of like "Boondocks". Though I think that Aaron McGruder has a bit of a problem with driving jokes and running gags into the ground. "Look! The government is run by idiots! Idiots, I tell you!"

Though really, if the papers here carried the strip, wankery such as this would fill the "Letters to the Editor" section within days.

...And if Puffy steals music from everyone, what's to say he won't steal jeans from the GAP? *rimshot*

	Though I think that Aaron McGruder has a bit of a problem with driving jokes and running gags into the ground. Aw, who cares? The man is HOT! Seriously. He was on Bill Maher the other night and I have declared him my new celebrity boyfriend. I'll have to keep him secret from Billy Boyd, but our closeted love will endure the test of time. Ahem.

I noticed the whole thing over on the Boondocks feed page... personally, I love Boondocks, but feel its gotten kinda tired in recent months. I think the pressure of doing a daily strip is burning Aaron MacGruder out, and much in the ways of other comics before him, he's going for the same themes & jokes & running them into the ground. Which is sad, because there's nothing worse than when a comic starts to get unfunny.
