So the MTV Video Music Awards aired tonight and a few members of the Twilight cast (Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Cam Gigandet) were on hand to introduce the band Paramore. Chaos strikes the Internets when host Russell Brand cuts RPatzz off, OMG!The fan girls are not pleased. At all.
MTV's Movie Blog wants fan reactions. And they're definitely getting them.

UM. OKAY. FIRST, you get a totally non-famous, ugly guy for a host. THEN, the host bashes presidential candidates & the president AND tells us who we should vote for! HE'S BRITISH! THEN, you give us sh*t by not interviewing any of the cast at the preshow. THEN, you stick them in the aisle. THEN, Taylor gets for freaking ever to talk and when it's finally Rob's turn Russell Brand bloody cuts him off! I'm just LOL'ing about your title. THE TWILIGHT STARS DIDN'T EVEN HIT THE STAGE. THEY HIT THE AISLE. I'm so proud that I served as a ratings booster for your piece of crap, offensive, rude show! /sarcasm

Ok i havent watched the vma's in over 10 years and i decided to watch this year because i knew some of the twilight cast was going to present. First off, i didn't even know who the host of the show was until i asked my friend and he said it was some guy from forgetting sarah whatever. the host should be someone who the general public knows!!! no one even knew who the hell he was!! second, he cut off robert, which was absolutely unacceptable. This was their first time on television and that idiot didnt even let them finish.yes it sucks that he cut off robert, but he could have cut anybody off and it still would have been terrible. the man has no skills at presenting or just talking in general. he was terrible! if he hates america so much he should go back to the uk!!! but robert should stay! he was the only english gentleman there tonight!

i demand satisfaction for this travesty. it's like a slap in the face to robert pattinson and all of the twilighters. what happened to you, MTV? seriously. i will never understand.

Wow, I'm really upset that Rob was cut off like that. This was truly a disappointing show and I'm suprised that MTV would treat the cast like that when they've been so supportive of the movie otherwise. They treated them like the hired help, had them introduce Paramore in the middle of an aisle with the host breathing down their necks the whole time and interrupting Rob. On the bright side, the cast looked great, and Rob came off looking like a gentleman. It's really sweet to see how shy he is.

But that's the danger of live TV. Secondly, I'd just like to say that half the battle is getting recognition for these young actors and the movie that you and I know is gonna rock Hollywood's socks in a few more months. The only reason those 4 actors were up there to begin with was because of you guys, and all the love and attention you've given to the Twilight Tuesdays. So give yourselves a pat on the back for making your voices loud and clear, and know that we're gonna keep showing "Twilight" all our love. Because, what other awards shows have you seen lately that were even forward-thinking enough to invite them? I'll do my best to give you guys some extra-special Twilight Tuesdays over the next few weeks to make up for it.
