As most of you (in fandom, and some who aren't) probably know already, JKR gave £1 Million to the Labour party.

As this included celebrity, politics and Harry Potter, I knew there must be wank somewhere! Oh, internets, you so rarely disappoint. Posted to fandom_wank, because no-one would really care if she wasn't famous and hadn't created Harry Potter.

I'm beginning to think they are just using socialism as a means to acquire more wealth under the guise of the common good.Essentially they're just playing their bullshit games to get people to give up as much money as they can so they can snatch it up. After all, with money comes power. Those who have the money rule.

Forcing people to "give" at gunpoint is not helping anything.
The greatest of crimes have always been in the name of "the common good", or in the name of helping the poor unfortunate.
So why don't you give up your money to help the poor if you're so concerned for them?
Lead by example, none of this "do as I say not as I do" shit.

If JKR wants to splash around that kind of cash, there are a great many deserving individuals, groups, local hospices, etc, working to help real people. But no, she chooses to donate to an organisation that, IMHO, has been the worst thing for this country since the Third Reich.

There are plenty of charities that would have loved the cash & put it directly to good use. Labour will just waste it telling us what they will do if re-elected. Then of course they won't do most of what they promised.

This individual has, over a number of years, donated considerable amounts to a number of charitable causes. Of course the maggots that call themselves journalists don't report that, preferring to highlight only what supports this weeks political agenda and what they want the ill informed masses to swallow.

Oh, and before you try drawing comparisons to the Third Reich I suggest you try some reading on that subject before coming to ludicrous "red top" conclusions.

She is rich, in fact, she is mega rich. This Labour government stand up for the mega rich, they reward them with nice low taxes and reguarly take off the poor to feed the rich (bailing banks out with public money, the 10p tax etc), so Labour is obviously her desired government.
If any other party gets in power, the rich will be taxed more then they ever will be under GB Labour.
Also, the money, imho, would have been much better given to the NSPCC or Oxfam, to help children, as that is what she cite's as her reason to give to Labour.
She should be ashamed of herself for supporting GB Labour financially imho. Vocally, maybe, but financially, no. Not when the £1million would be much better spent actually helping children rather than paying off Labour's debts.

The pure state of the economy says it all, the rich get richer the poor get poorer!! and thats the way Brown wants it to be!!!!
