Mai. I just don't understand her appeal to Zuko. They are shown dating, even kissing, back when she is a bored, spoiled bee-otch with no redeeming characteristics whatsoever (she's not even drawn cute!). Sure, she has one great moment at the prison, but up until then she's killed and maimed loads of people and -- unlike Ty Lee -- never even seems to question it or show remorse. She says she was scared of Azula, but (also unlike Ty Lee) that fear is never shown -- she's just happy to see her when she shows up at the beginning because "nothing's happening around here." So someone please explain to me -- how does she end up with Zuko?

Answers start off fairly mildly, some saying they don't like Mai, others saying cute is subjective or 'you may not like her but Zuko does'.

A bonus side of someone taking offence at Azula being referred to as mentally ill. Not wanky per se but... idk, I just get the feeling if anyone had replied that Azula is crazy the commenter would go, well, crazy.

Azula's not mentally ill, kthx. She's emotionally damaged, thanks to her mother, brother, and two (ex)besties. The way she acts is a result of her mommy issues, her fear of abandonment (thx to her mother), and her father's encouraging her to take advantage of the fact that she's a kick-ass Firebender and his making sure that she's loyal to boot.

Azula's heart has been damaged. When people who have been emotionally damaged they often react in violent ways - treating people like crap and controlling people through fear are two of them.

Not crazy.

What blubber? 6'8" and only 200 pounds, I doubt I've got anything that qualifies as 'blubber'. But disregarding that; Of course it will. I really don't care. It was something I felt needed to be said, and I'm perfectly ready to back it up.
