Good Old-Fashioned Fanboy Outrage
Moving this from ClairvoyantWank because of the ongoing fanboy rage.
An ANN that Zac didn't purposely start! *shock* Every new season, ANN has an Anime Preview Guide that has different reviewers watch an episode or two of a new series and give it a review. That also means that show defenders will jump into the forum and call the reviewer an uninformed idiot if they give the episode a bad review. Casey's review of Clannad ~After Story~ caused fanboys to jump in and defend the show's honor.
Casey's Review: It seems exceedingly difficult to justify the existence of a bishoujo anime series like Clannad that, while long on big-eyed, big-busted heroines, is woefully short on the fanservice.
greyhawk: No more difficult than the existence of anime and a reviewer called Casey Brienza, I must add, but that would be ad hominem, oh noes!
Casey's Review: The story operates under the assumption that you already know the plot premise and cast of characters...
...which is quite a long time but still way too quick for any newbie viewer to glean real backstory from current events...
greyhawk: This is where she's starting to pull crap out of her ass. Is she saying this because she hasn't watched the first season, or because she's pretending to be a newbie viewer? For your sake, let's assume the latter, so she's actually caring for the people who, in their infinite wisdom, believe that nothing ever happens in a whole season and thus decide to jump to the second one? Oh yes, there ARE such people, and I AM telling them to either stop watching or shoot themselves in the head and die. Anyway I must applaud her for making it look like KyoAni's fault.
Casey's Review: Although this anime series seems to be going for a modest elegance, the absolute best it ever achieves is inoffensive mediocrity.

tl;dr note: when you bash a series, do it right, don't make yourself look like a sorry loser. I could care less about the series, but the stupidity was so breathtaking that it grasped my attention. Nice trolling! Just personal opinions, rite? Was I unnecessarily rude? I don't know, I was just imitating some certain reviewers.

Enjoy your ban. Anyone else getting ridiculously personal and nasty because they're mad someone didn't like their favorite cartoon will be banned as well.
