DANTE BASCO SHIPS ZUTARA! OH NOES!!!

So, some Zutarians in the Avatar fandom are putting together an animated redo of the Avatar finale that is more friendly to their ship. And a lot of people are just like “Whatever, they can do what they want”

Well then Dante Basco became involved by apparently agreeing to lend his voice to the project. (The project apparently is being mainly organized over at Deviantart)

And the Zutarians are happy and gleeful and excited, and everything is great and wonderful.

BUT WAIT!

The announcement gets posted over at Avatarspirit.net, and then the opposing shippers, Kataangers or whatever, go crazy. (The note, apparently ASN is going through maintenance, so the link may be on and off, i am going to try and screen cap if need be, but as of now the links are working.)


So to start off Lizard Man begins with the questions, and then remarks how it is probably just going to be the finale with stupid Zuko and Katara making out and is just wish fulfillment.

Others bring up that the project could be disrespectful to Bryan and Mike, and other question whether using Dante’s voice is a form of copyright infringement. Some people try to be the voice of reasoning saying to just let it go,

But then bumi3 comes in with this wonderful gem:

"My fellow Avatar fans minus the Zutarian menace. This is the darkest time in Avatar Fandom history. I can assure you that Anonymous would put an end to these rumors and the "project" they are planning. Even as we speak, there are hundreds of people out there sending copyright infringement reports to Viacom. If this fails, we would have to take drastic measures. Let's pray that this shall never come to pass."

Then it kicks up another level when Kaelis Ra overreacts by posting a giant ugly thing (I don’t even know what that is) and brings the capslock overreaction (with bad grammar and spelling still intact):

"THERE IS NOT ENOUGH RAGE REACTION IMAGES IN THE WORLD FOR HOW I FEEL

SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?

thank you for completly destroying the last tiny shreds of respect i had for the avatar fandom.

i hope you get sued for copyright infirngement

goodbye ASN."

At this display, the mods step in and lock the post.

It is then brought up at TWOP which leads to a couple of more choice bits like:

"When I think of the voice actors helping, it just makes me think of enabling a bratty child."

"this is just tremendously disrespectful towards Brian and Mike"

"the thing is that if these people accept they are ignominious ingrates with a futile bias it would be one thing." This poster then goes on to link to a tl;dr anti-Kataang manifesto and rant about all the things he hates about Zutarians.

As an added bonus, here is Dante Basco reading some lines from Zutarians, apparently he reads or says something about Mai being fat, and I am sure this is starting some wank up somewhere but I am a bit too lazy to really try and find it.
