death threat
Mr Burrows (one of MsA's minions) sent Rakshi a death threat. The text is here.

I'm not sure I'm capable of laughing at it. But it'll be interesting to see if MsA & Co have any morals whatsoever. The last time he threatened someone with sexual assault, they thought it was cute.

Christ on a coffeetable. That is despicable and completely crossing the line. I thought fandom was supposed to be FUN, not DEATH-THREATENED. Are people's lives this controlled by whether or not someone decides that they support a pairing?

MsA posted to DL_anon saying that she banned Mr.Burrows, and also posted to DLR saying that she would ban anyone who made death threats, regardless of where those threats were made.

So, to recap, DLR policy is:
Threatening someone with sexual assault = Okay
Threatening to kill someone = Not okay

I probably shouldn't snark - she should have banned the asshole when he made his first threat, and NaT, as well, but the fact that under certain extreme circumstances she's willing to do the right thing is a good sign.

Thanks MsA you just deleted the K thread when I was going to make my first post! It wasn't doing anything constructive.

Dont care for fandom wars, and find it embarassing when they start on DL. However anyone who calls DLR 'a cult' implies that I am a cult member and I am not having that from anyone! Usually refrain from getting involved in this type of thing, but this feels like a personal attack. Pity we also lost Foxy's comment about there being a real person at the other end of the screen which we all need to be aware of.

Can we get back to important stuff now, like the different ways leather straps can be used?!

No. Most things in life are, at their root, funny. This is not.

At the very least, Rakshi should find out how "Mr Burrows" is connecting to the internet, and then notify his service provider and provide a copy of the email. No matter what country he turns out to be in, this kind of utterly sick shit isn't likely to go over too well.

Already taken care of, actually. Supposedly he's in Sweden, however his ISP appears to be located in Amsterdam. But both hotmail and the originating ISP have been notified.

I am appalled down to the depths of my soul. Even if, by some crazed chance, this turns out to be some sick hoax, it's so far from funny it's not to be believed. But I agree that this doesn't sound like a hoax or a sick joke - this person seems very serious. And even if he *is* in Sweden, or Amsterdam and nowhere near Rakshi, I would still take this threat as if it is quite real.

Some of those internet death threat stories make me point and laugh but this guy needs his dick cut off, sliced in half and stuffed in each nostril. MsA. and pals condone that guy's behavior? Oh, lemme guess: they probably figure, he's just got a sick sense of humor. "Rape threats! Hahahaha, that's cute! Ed Gein/Edmund Kemper type killing scenarious. Even funnier. At least he uses lube when he threatens with the fist up the ass!"

MsA is the leader of a group dedicated to "supporting" Elijah Wood and Dominic Monaghan, who, according to them, are gay lovers who like to go "ass full throttle in the produce isle [sic]." They'll be happy to provide proof of this relationship in the form of unsubstantiated rumor (such as a sighting of them in a gay bar), photo analysis (such as a recent photo at a public event where Elijah was almost touching Dom's "junk," and readings from their very reliable Gaydar.

[info]dl_anon is an offshoot of fandom_wank and is dedicated to mocking them and pointing out the flaws in their logic.
