That's why I make sure to have squid at least once a week, you know, to prevent them from taking over the world. 	Well, to be honest i thought the original poster went a bit far after the first post. I think she should have had the good sense to realize that the mod was not going to listen and just chilled out. It makes sense, though, that some mods are going to start becoming more vigorous about setting up "safe" zones, what with the current trend in "how to write" essays being used on mls to criticize people who were not looking for instruction manuals, or who simply have tastes that don't conform to a number of trendy standards.
Not excusing draconism; just observing the trends.

Mean would imply that I knew their intent, which, not being psychic, I may only guess.
By wanky I meant they made a statement about how other people should (not could, or should for specific results, but just should) create, which is inherently wankery.
Hmm, though, good comment about interpretation.
What do we mean by wank in general? What do I mean when I say someone is wanky? I think I mean someone has stated a thing as being fact, when it is actually either opinion, wrong, or they couldn't really know.
At least, that is one version of wanky.

Ex: "All people with sock puppets secretly want to sleep with the Hogwarts Squid".

Though, it could be true.
