I... have never heard of this search engine before, and am fascinated.

Someone at Absolute Write did say it was like the #1 background image for goth kids on Myspace (I'm paraphrasing, inaccurately), so it may be understandable that Lady Sybilla thought it was royalty-free, but I didn't know this stuff when I originally posted, and was moving towards conclusions indicated by the evidence.
