Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:author entitlement, baleetion, cult of nice, fandom: stargate, fanfic, flouncing, thoughts on yaoi, writers are often pompous douches

My concubines are lame. Drown them all!
SGA ficcer is not getting the acclaim she says she deserves. So she is going to delete her LJ. Her 560 "friends" are not fawning enough so what's the point?!

There are at least 60 comments on her epic fic's last two chapters now. I'm too lazy to figure out how many there were before she flipped out. Also she posted the last chapter only yesterday.

And the mea culpas pour in--three pages of "I'm sorry/I suck/Plz don't go."

>
And one of them thinks she can get some LOVE IF SHE FLOUNCES TOO!

When someone points out the flounce. [info]sardonicsmiley doesn't argue much.

And she is finally called on her tantrum.

LOL ENTITLEMENT DEBATE.

eta: WOT? "I'm turning commenting off until the last part, because otherwise that would just be too much."

So she turned commenting off and then bitched about no comments? O_o

eta2: All this for an alias change?

ETA3: BAHLEETION!! (saved pages below)

page 1, page 2, page 3, and expanded smackdown. And page 4 thanks to [info]longtimegone! :D

Urgh. I'm reminded now of a person who used to be on my friendslist who eventually asked me to defriend her because she'd defriended me. I looked back later (...self-Googling, I'll admit) and apparently she does that sort of thing monthly, asking for anyone she's defriended to defriend her so her profile is "neater." How dare you be interested in my journal if I'm not interested in yours, damn it!

aha! I have a vague memory of someone who did that years ago on LJ but the name is escaping me. I just don't get it. Weirdness.

... Um wow hasn't someone heard of turning off the Friends Of feature?

(Banning works too.)

But that was not enough, because someone might be out there, looking at her public entries on their Friends page WITHOUT HER PERMISSION. It would be too much to take, too much.

*goes off and bans the stalking ex even though he's no longer using his journal and probably have mine bookmarked* T_T

I was friends with someone like that once. She not only demanded that those she unfriended unfreind her back, but that anyone who didn't within a certain amount of time would get banned so their names wouldn't show up on her Friend Of list.

...

*ponders* I was actually thinking of doing that with an ex-friend's old RP journals that had me friended, which she seemingly forgot about when she blew me off with her real accounts.

Is it wanky when you're banning RP journals that will probably never be used again, just so you don't have to look at them and scowl? :P

Ha ha, that's not wanky, no. The person I'm thinking of had a large flist and would post lists of people she was defriending, and threaten to ban them, as if they were all so in love with her they couldn't bear to return the defriending favor.

..Gee. Uh, I think I really wouldn't have a problem with defriending someone who acted like that, yeah.

Unless I didn't, just to drive them nuts. XD

Is it mean of me that I'd totally stay friended to her just to ppiss her off?

...Probably. :D

I did for a little while, but when she asked me directly I just figured she was enough of a jerk I didn't even want to do it to piss her off anymore.

PErfectly reasonable of you.

I am totally in an immature and irresponsible mood today (and yesterday, apparently), which is why I'm not doing anything more serious than commenting on JF. :D

Well, I can say that I prefer to have "even numbers" so to speak. It's sort of OCD really, it has nothing to do with OMG PEOPLE CAN SEE MY ENTRIES!! It's just a neurotic thing for me. It bugged me.

I got over it though, and after a recent purge and locking my journal it's now completely uneven and ridiculous. I never asked someone to defriend me, either, but if it was an abandoned/deleted journal, I have banset the names to get them off my flist. It just bugs me.

But I think that's a bit different anyway.

Oh oh, thank you! I do that, too (unless it's a matter of a friend dying, that's different) and thought I was the only one.

My journal is entirely locked, so I don't understand why people add and not comment they're adding me (and I never add them back if they don't and I don't "know" them, either)

late reply is late and all that. If I do a cut, I'll make a post asking for those cut to remove me from their lists as well. For the vast majority it's unnecessary - they've got their notifications turned on, so they immediately find out they were defriended and remove me. I never saw a problem in it, but, then again, all of my entries are f-locked, so those that still have me friended wouldn't be able to see any posts.

If they can't see your stuff anyway— no, even if they can't see your stuff anyway, what's the big damned deal? Why do you care if they'd want to maybe let you read their friendslocked entries if you chose to? Is profile-grooming really that important?
