My concubines are lame. Drown them all!
SGA ficcer is not getting the acclaim she says she deserves. So she is going to delete her LJ. Her 560 "friends" are not fawning enough so what's the point?!

There are at least 60 comments on her epic fic's last two chapters now. I'm too lazy to figure out how many there were before she flipped out. Also she posted the last chapter only yesterday.

And the mea culpas pour in--three pages of "I'm sorry/I suck/Plz don't go."

And one of them thinks she can get some LOVE IF SHE FLOUNCES TOO!

When someone points out the flounce. [info]sardonicsmiley doesn't argue much.

And she is finally called on her tantrum.

LOL ENTITLEMENT DEBATE.

eta: WOT? "I'm turning commenting off until the last part, because otherwise that would just be too much."

So she turned commenting off and then bitched about no comments? O_o

eta2: All this for an alias change?

ETA3: BAHLEETION!! (saved pages below)

page 1, page 2, page 3, and expanded smackdown. And page 4 thanks to [info]longtimegone! :D

Lemon is (apparently) the same thing as puff. I think it's pretty much exclusively used in anime fandoms.

Lemon = hard R/NC17 stuff, lime = R stuff.

(Some of my RL friends not involved with fandom use these terms, so I don't know where they come from.)

How is a lemmon formd?

Lemon, from how I remember it, is used because it's a salute to an anime hentai called "Cream Lemon." It was groundbreaking for the anime industry because it's the very first hentai ever created: Cream Lemon is also a series of 3-4 stories in one movie. When I looked this up, I remember reading about the voice actress for the first story as feeling a little nervous since no one's done that kind of work before and there was nothing for her to watch as a guide of sorts.

Lime, I can only take a guess. From lemon to lime... same citrus family? What's wrong w/ other citrus fruits like orange or something else. In any case, that's where I'm pretty sure 'lemon' came from. Anyone else who's better informed about this, feel free to post a response.

Do people still call them lemons? That takes me back to my NEG fandom days...

I, uh... I moderate for an archive, and I'm currently having a bit of minor conflict with the webmaster over whether to continue using "lemon, lime, orange" as a tag system denoting different kinds of porn. (She's very old school in some ways.)

Ok, so lemon is hard NC-17, lime is R, what's orange?

And why not just use the movie ratings? Was there an old-school reason for this?

I can't answer the second half (why not use movie ratings) but actually, yes! There is a reason why it's called lime and lemon! (....what's....orange.....) In the mid 80s, there was a hentai (which is basically sexually explicit or pornographic) anime video series called Cream Lemon. It was really very popular because not only was it blatantly porny but also often very strange and surreal. The term "lemon" became popular among Japanese amateur manga artists who would label their stories "lemons", and, like many conventions that fangirls who write fanfic often imitate, it was carried over to the western fandom, which is probably why it was primarily, or as far as I can tell, used in anime/manga fandoms first.

Or anyway, that is what I was told.

According to my Google-fu, orange means "safe for everyone".

I knew the reasoning for lemon and lime, but orange.. That's a new one to me.

I want to know what orange is as well, and my mind is trying to tell me Strawberry was used for lesbian porn.

Google-fu says "orange" means "safe for everyone" (I never heard it before today, but *shrug* All right. Why not?)

So lemon, lime, orange.... Does this make anime fanfic archive "produce aisles"?

Man, I could use some good strawberries.
