My concubines are lame. Drown them all!
SGA ficcer is not getting the acclaim she says she deserves. So she is going to delete her LJ. Her 560 "friends" are not fawning enough so what's the point?!

There are at least 60 comments on her epic fic's last two chapters now. I'm too lazy to figure out how many there were before she flipped out. Also she posted the last chapter only yesterday.

And the mea culpas pour in--three pages of "I'm sorry/I suck/Plz don't go."

>
And one of them thinks she can get some LOVE IF SHE FLOUNCES TOO!

When someone points out the flounce. [info]sardonicsmiley doesn't argue much.

And she is finally called on her tantrum.

LOL ENTITLEMENT DEBATE.

eta: WOT? "I'm turning commenting off until the last part, because otherwise that would just be too much."

So she turned commenting off and then bitched about no comments? O_o

eta2: All this for an alias change?

ETA3: BAHLEETION!! (saved pages below)

page 1, page 2, page 3, and expanded smackdown. And page 4 thanks to [info]longtimegone! :D

I would hit you back with another song lyric but I'm imagining Rodney McKay doing a booty dance and weeping with laughter. Mostly at the horrified looks on his fellow teammates' faces.

You just made me choke on my lemon-honey tea.

My keyboard hates you. My need-for-a-laugh loves you.

It's the eternal dichotomy. Technology versus man!

Irrelevant to whumping, your icon makes me LOL.

I thought it was technology vs nature? Wait are we talking about ancient Greece or TV?

Probably not ancient Greece, unless someone got dumped off a deus ex machina once and we never heard about it.

Talking point, which is worse: Death by having a turtle dropped on your head, or death by literal deus ex machina?

It would depend on what aspect of machina were talking about and if the turtle is a small god. Or you know if it is a giant sea tortoise... I don't know I think it's pretty easy to consider tortoise-blunt-trauma an instance of deus ex machina.

I'm so tired I want to write some sort of horrible Aristophanes tortoise tribute fic and then complain about how no one understands my genius.

Aeschylus, dear. :D

No. Aristophanes wrote the comedies. I translated Aeschylus. He was not funny at all. There would never be tortoises bonking people.

Aeschylus was the one who supposedly died by turtle, however :D

I kind of hope it's untrue. I like Aeschylus a lot and I hate it when my literary heroes die in excruciatingly hilarious ways.

Tycho Brahe still has the most sadly hilarious death ever--but of course he was an astronomer. His bladder exploded at a state function.

I think exploding bladders do trump turtles, it's true.

Apparently I'm somewhat non grata in the fandom, actually, so I think that might be baiting wank. But I certainly intend to appreciate the hell out of it in your comments. :D

You are? For mocking it? But didn't some of the biggest SGA fans say from the get-go, "I love my stupid show!"

Well, I personally thought it should have been obvious that something attracted me to it, considering I wrote 40k words of fanfic and grew rather attached to Keller.

I will caveat that what I know of my status in SGA is hearsay; nobody's been at all rude to me and those SGA fans who were on my flist have been very gracious about it. :D

I really have to bookmark your recap of SGA. I nearly smothered myself trying not to laugh out loud in the library.

I had fun doing it :D Okay, except for a few episodes. I would hope people would see that there was some genuine affection there in with the mockity.

But I did get wind that it was not well received in some corners, and I don't want to harsh anyone's squee. Which is why I'm hesitating to present Three Things About Another Scifi Show I Just Watched....

Some people are no fun.

(Which show? Bonus points if you say "Battlestar Galactica." Which I love, but critical acclaims requires some ribbing.)

I do have BSG, both the original and the remake, waiting to be watched on my portable hard drive. But no, different show. If I can get my Big Bang act together for TARDIS BB, I will post SOMEthing about new show soon...

That's news to me, actually.** Then again, I'm not a BNF, so I might be out of the loop.

**I was about to make a "so I obviously didn't get the newsletter" joke, but I do get the newsletter, and therefore it totally wouldn't work.
