Just a little wank over how MEAN it is to give unsolicited (for, um, a certain definition of "unsolicited"), anonymous concrit.

THE ANONYMOUS WRITING FEEDBACK MEME
It's one of those memes where people post their names and other people comment anonymously, in this case, telling what they think of their writing.
Let's look at the rules, shall we?
1. If you’re a writer, comment to this post with your username.
2. Commenters, no drama please. Play like adults. And writers, be prepared for any comment.
3. Pimp the meme out by posting the above code into your journal.
4. Be honest.

So, we're clear on how this works, right? Writers put their names in themselves, voluntarily. They should expect any kind of feedback, and it will be honest. And as long as there is no drama, any kind of comment is allowed.
Hay1ock posts her name and she gets some honest feedback. It's not glowing praise, but the anon makes a point to say how much s/he enjoys hay1ock's stories, while at the same time offering concrit. Hay1ock takes it pretty well! Asks some questions, gets a few more answers, doesn't seem to be much drama here.
Sadly, her friend garvaldmains does not take criticism of Hay1ock's work well AT ALL. After all, it's too nitpicky! People don't care about stupid things like grammar or spelling! And the nitpicky anon should be medicated and forced to offer up their own stories for criticism! And of course, that old favorite: it's just fanfic! It's just for fun, you guys!
It doesn't end there, no: garvaldmains goes back to her own journal to rant! I love the editing out of curse words. All good rants should be kept clean, you see. Also, I like how all of this is clearly the fault of mean, cruel anonymice! How dare they be allowed to post on an anon meme? And don't people understand that they are only allowed to tell writers that their stories are shinier than gold? Man, what is this f**k*ng world coming too?
And did I say hay1ock took the criticism well? Um. Whoops! File this under "unclear on the concept."
