The Republican (lol!) Twilight self-publishing wank has been deleted owing to the balance of evidence suggesting that the subject was almost certainly underage. So if you saw that video with the hickey on her breast, I hope you feel suitably dirty.

In this case, her age was not exactly prominently displayed, but bear in mind that if you have any doubts about the age of the subject, don't post it. Or check with your loving mods.

Also: if you want to bring something to our attention, send us an email (ideally with a link or links). Don't just comment that "mods should look at this," since we may miss something buried deep in a comment thread.

If you ask me, tweenagers are whats wrong with fandom these days. *stop me before i start going on about the good old days in fandom, or we could be here for a while*

I think the problem stems also from the fact that everyone (myself included) does stupid stuff when they're younger, so making fun of them is not so much fun. It's just too easy. It's like making fun of the poor three-legged chihuahua, he can't help it and you end up feeling sorry for him in the end. I say give them a chance to grow out of it!

Now people ACTING like kids when they're 40? THAT'S entertaining.

Of course...after my photo class where we had an entire lecture about "Stay away from kids - ALWAYS" I have a kind of paranoia about involving minors in anything.

That's pretty much what i was trying to say, just in a less direct way. They must make so much wank it's tempting for people to post it. I didnt realise it had been a problem in the past though because this is my first run in with a kiddy wank.

Ah! I see what you're saying, that does make sense. Especially if it's a good one, the thought of checking the age may be overlooked.

Wait, you aren't allowed to take photographs of children? Seriously?

There are a LOT of legal issues tied up in photographing children, unfortunately. You have to go through so many channels to make it work okay our teacher pretty much said, "just don't do it at all."

...because you start taking pictures of children, even with permission in some cases, you start to look pretty creepy.

Yeah but people don't worry so much about the motivations of someone taking pictures of puppies. They do when you are taking pictures of kids. Particularly if you are a guy.

I agree. I used to belong to a forum that was all ages, very family friendly. Because of the subject matter, it actually attracted a lot of minors, usually from around 12 or so on up. And I swear to God, wanking (in the er, Fandom Wank sense, that is) is a part of growing up. You'd watch people (INCLUDING MYSELF) go through phases. There'd be the trolling phrase, the Mary Sue phrase, the wank phrase, the likeing emo music phrase. I swear it was really fascinating.
