Say you're a member of ontd_ai and you're getting a bit tired of the fanfic posts, the idol appreciation posts, the way a particular mod runs things, and anything else you feel doesn't fit the ~true spirit~ of the community. There's only one thing to do!
Start a super-secret elite comm where you and 26 of your friends (including some ontd_ai mods) can plan the upheaval of the 5000-member community, including abrupt fanfic banning and gif trolling of appreciation posts and anyone who objects, or course!
This involved heavily trolling an appreciation post for Megan, one of the AI competitors from the latest season, with gifs and insults. EDIT2: Found it! There are pockets of drama all over the place, but the big stuff is on page six here.

"Also, you missed a bunch of posts (especially involving the fanfic banning) that played a big role in this whole mess but I'm pretty sure those posts are locked so you need to be a member to read them.
The first post banned any fanfic related posts in the community (with a macro of the mods icons photoshopped onto nazis) and certain members of the ~secret~ community hit it hard with animated gifs, celebration and just being rather nasty to all the writers in the community who were upset over the decision (which was fairly abrupt). This include several mods of the community.
Merusa, one of the mods not involved in the drama, made a poll in a second post asking the communities opinion about whether a once or twice monthly fanfic post would be ok. The members switched over to this post at that point and continued harassing everyone who disagreed with them.
The poll showed that 85% of the community was fine with the occasional fanfic post but the mods in the ~secret~ community pretty refused to change their original decision."

"The bitchassery in the fic post fucking made me sick. It went so far out of line, it became personal (even if it was just merusa's name that got thrown around, their intention was to fucking HUMILIATE the fic writers, no backpedaling will ever make me think otherwise), and don't even get me started on that fucking PROP8 bullshit. UGH." The PROP8 bullshit in question from the aforementioned poll post.
Reactions to the dramatic reveal (with screencaps!) of the insidious plot! Shock by the members and mods not involved! Some schemers express remorse! Some do not.
Put on your waders, people. As of this write-up, there are 35 pages of comments.
EDIT: The three mods involved, bambislaught3r, leviicorpus, and blakergirl07, have voluntarily stepped down.
