snatched from [info]wank_report

"Someone" posts a secret (#114 now bahleeted--caps?) on [info]fandomsecrets and the image is stored on her easily identifiable photobucket account. She claims to be lonely and not have any friends and she wishes the Avatar characters were her RL friends. But she means local friends, not imaginary intarweb bitches her LJ friends.

Responses are mostly of the "Oh, snap!" variety except for the "What am I? Chopped liver?" one. It's really a very mild response though [info]yukinoomoni is outed by name.

She posts and does not overreact at all:

"*facepalm*
Oh, honestly.

First of all, I don't care if people know who I am.

Second of all, read the fucking whole thing in context.

Third of all, you know what? Take it out of context, I don't care.

That's how I feel. When I come home, I don't have people to hang out with in my neighbourhood.. When I want to talk to someone about something, I have no one I can call. With the exception of one person, who I am not belittling, what I posted was true.

I am fucking so sick of it.

I try to explain myself. I try to express myself. And I get people misinterpreting me, not getting it.

You're going to think what you want, so why do I bother posting anything anymore?

If that's enough to make you hate me, if my loneliness in real life makes you hate me, if the fact that I wish I could have friends makes you hate me, then fucking hate me and be done with it."

eta: F_W is not your therapist. If you can't lol at a wank maybe you need to go for a walk. I thought this was funny. lol sociopath.

This is going to be one of those threads, isn't it?

my favourite brownie recipe

1. Complain to twin sister "I want some brownies, but they never come out well."
2. Add puppy-dog eyes and comment on the fact that we have almost all the necessary ingredients in the pantry already.
3. Slip ten bucks into said sister's pocket.
4. Wait two hours for freshly baked, super tasty brownies to magically appear in the kitchen.
5. Cut small piece as thank you for the brownie faerie, then devour the rest of the pan while watching tv.

This also works for cakes, muffins, &c., even the more difficult requests like tiramisu or fancy cheesecake.

Can I borrow your twin sister? I have all the ingredients for pumpkin cheesecake but no time to bake it. :(

I bet she would be all over that! In fact, I might have to suggest it to her for next weekend... She likes experimenting with cheesecakes best, you see, but doesn't always have an excuse. Pumpkin cheesecake sounds really cool (and I'm not even a fan of cheesecake or pumpkin!)

Similar one here, except the sister's four years my junior and I have three strong competitors for the loot. Aren't baking-inclined sisters wonderful things to have?

*deep, woeful sigh* My baking-inclined sibling is in San Francisco, and I'm in Japan (and we both hail from Australia originally). My life is tragically brownieless, and has been for some time...

Aha! That's why you wait until the competitors are out of the house, or bake extra batches. I have five siblings, and back when it was more than just my twin sister and me living at home, it was either a matter of timing it when most of them were on dates or otherwise not at home, or making extra.

I will be very sad when I move across the country and won't be able to get someone to bake for me so easily.

It might! I have a step-brother who is a chef and when he was at university, we could sometimes get really yummy meals out of him the same way.

(I'm so lucky to have two siblings who cook and bake so well!)

A breakfast recipe that I'm using more and more:

1. Oversleep alarm, catch bus without having time for breakfast.
2. Mention this to the friend who sits next to me in lecture, who is in love with her new stand mixer.
3. Gratefully receive corn muffins or carrot cupcakes or caramel rolls.
