Hideo Kojima to judge Twilight fanart contest
Just a light wanky snack.

Facts:
(1) Hideo Kojima is the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series.
(2) He is a fan of Twilight.
(3) He will be in ur Pixiv, judging ur Twilight fanart. Also, winner gets an autographed copy of MGS4: Guns of the Patriots.

Some of the commenters point out that whether or not you like Twilight, Kojima should feel free to fanboy anything he wants. Some admit that that autographed Metal Gear game sounds pretty tempting. And some just run their heads under the fandom sink and sob.

After my initial shocked reaction, I'm actually kind of used to and accepting of the idea. Kojima loves pulp, Kojima loves ridiculous melodrama, Kojima loves vampires, Kojima loves moody and implausibly attractive self-professed natural-born killers who move to Alaska to get away from their own bloodlust. Although Snake's a dog-lover, which kinds of puts a damper on the resulting obvious potential pairing.

I wrote in my LJ ages ago that Edward would make the best ever MGS boss. And now, after learning this, knowing that Kojima is a massive movie ripper-offer, I don't think there's words to describe how happy I am that there's even a faint chance that this will happen.

	What I love here is that it's the MGS fans who are wanking, not the Twilight fans. And I've got to say, after watching the cut scenes over at Unskippable's Metal Gear month, I can totally see it. I mean. They did FIVE MGS4 cut scenes and they weren't nearly done with the game. As my husband just added: "I'm not surprised. I mean. He's got... questionable taste." (Reply to this)

I must confess I have wondered if some of the grammar and wording issues with the books were 'fixed' when it was translated to make it a bit more readable. I mean the Japanese versions do have the extra pretty pictures in them, so who knows what else could have been done to it.
