Enter n1ght1ng4l3, who claims to be not a Snape fan and to dislike the Marauders and Snape equally, despite being a member of Snapedom and two Sirius comms (also such comms for butthurt fans as dh_oh_shit and deadlyhollow).

This essay is skewed in Lily's favour. She was not a good friend, no matter how you spin the tale. That doesn't exempt Snape from being a douche either. They were rather bad friends to one another, no matter how understandable their actions were. Quite frankly, if Lily, Snape or any of the Marauders existed in real life, I wouldn't come within a two mile radius from them.

I'm certain that I wouldn't want to bone Severus Snape. I don't like unkpet or cruel boys, so that's out of the picture. I'm certain that I wouldn't be jealous of Lily Evans either, for that misogynistic theory of yours to work. I don't think any of her qualities are worth aspiring for.

Disregarding that, no one can dance around the facts that she was tossing her hair, bickering mindlessly and almost laughing in SWM, instead of actively helping her best friend which was hanging upside down with his underwear showing. She was more concerned about saying all the things James was then to help Snape out. Maybe she wasn't concerned about Snape to begin with and just wanted to flaunt all over James, who knows. Although Snape fans are obnoxious with their extremists, Lily fans are blind to what's dangling right in front of their eyes and try to justify it by spinning around tales that rival Snape fan’s most autistic essays.

It's also jarring when people think Lily was right to rebuke Snape on his housemates’ actions (not his) at that point. What kind of friend accuses another of what others do? But they’re future Death Eaters, you say. Lily couldn’t possibly know that at that point. But they were using Dark Arts and he found it amusing, you counter. It's especially horrifying this point of view. After all, Lily thought it was amusing to dangle someone upside down so his underwear was showing, while the Trio (and everyone else) thought it was disgusting when drunk DE's had the same magnificent idea at the Quidditch Cup.

The fact that Mary is nothing to Snape but Snape his (supposedly) Lily's best friend is even more appalling. Suddenly, be amused at the expense of a relatively unknown person is worse than be amused at your best friend’s expense.

But if you can't see the blatant hypocrisy both extremist Snape fans and Lily fans are willing to go through, it's not me nor lengthy posts that will do the trick.

As a final note, I think it's rather vulgar to bait other livejournal communities with nasty insults or post supposedly funny gifs to bait a war. I don’t know if you acknowledged any of this, but I’ve seen this despicable behaviour sprawled across these three pages of comments, so I«ll point it out. Maybe the snapedom community these people seem to despise so much has a bit more elegance in handling childish trolling.

Baiting me? You poor thing. I've said it before, I'm not a fan of neither Marauders, Lily or Snape. The whole trolling wasn't elegant, when the same trollers seem to be whining that other people don't agree with them. Continue posting images. The trophy wife thing... Eh. Not really true since definition says that James should've been older. The rest she fulfills it more or less. I doubt she went on missions after being knocked up. Nothing against trophy wives, though. It's a style of life.
