I've seen people defend some pretty insignificant little pieces of turf, but I think this may be one of the stupidest I've seen yet.

I add the interest "not sharing this interest" to my LJ.

The person who had it as a unique interest is miffed.

Oh man, his one non friends journal entry cracked me up.

This journal is now friends only. Since livejournal won't let me change all backentries simply, I'm taking the time to go through the history and change it. This is my alternative to deleting everything. I don't know why this is necessary, or even that it is necessary, but I'm doing it anyway. This post will be the only one that is not security restricted, just so you can know why no other entries appear. You're really not missing out on anything. It's all incoherent dreams, rants, and nonsensical babble. Eventually, it'll all be deleted, most likely. History is nothing but expired chaos.

Personally, I kind of thought that the point of LJ interests was so that you could see if anyone else was interested in the same things as you are.

Not to mention that until recently, it was also a good way to find communities that might be of interest to you, instead of having to find them solely by word-of-mouth or by slogging through the directory or the "Community Promotion" communities.

I don't even remember if I actually have any non-shared interests on my list anymore. I guess I am just not l33t.
