Maybe I'm just stupid, but I see this in terms of two simple facts. One, we agreed to host our fics on the Yuletide archive and not remove them. Two, the Yuletide archive is moving. I don't see how fact two negates fact one.
And, you know, I'm fine with AO3, but I wouldn't call it more widely known that the main Yuletide website. I didn't even know people could actually post to it until Yuletide.
Lastly, I don't care where you stand, merrikat needs to get over herself right fucking now. "Waaaaahhhhhh! I can't orphan my fic because I am a sensitive special soul! Waaaaahhhhhh! Nobody likes me or ever will like me but they should! Waaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!" I am officially for AO3 on the basis that merrikat hates it.
