cake or death?
The swan song of one [info]thanfiction aka Andy Blake/VB, etc. He is leaving the internets forver. Maybe. If he doesn't die from his mysterious heart condition--he's going to college. Yes, sir. But he is unlikely to ever give up the cancer sticks.

n.b.: Please use the pronoun he when refering to Andy or face the wrath of pretty much everyone, but especially those who can ban your ass along with the rest of you.

eta: I didn't bother posting a link to Turi's reaction post because it was even more boring than Andy's brave farewell. But some sockpuppet comments to defend Andy.

It would be rather awesome if he got into the Avatar fandom, but I guess that's unlikely unless Cameron announces a sequel.

Actually I think this is the most likely of all; it's new, it's hot, it's quasi-mystical and there are actors in it who don't know him yet. Plus you get to paint yourself blue; what more could anyone want?

You know I wonder what will happen if he runs out of big fandoms to run to after his last foray in the one he was in ends in the usual flounce. I mean he doesn't seem like the kind of person that would settle for the smaller less popular fandoms out there and there are only so many of the big ones.

Those Italian forebears didn't speak very idiomatic Italian, apparently! "Spirito della famiglia" doesn't mean "family-like atmosphere"--it means "family tradition" or "family characteristics over time" or "emphasis on family."

I think this person was taking "spirito di gruppo," which does mean "team spirit" in the US/UK sense, and assuming one could just substitute "della famiglia" for "di gruppo" and it would work.

the DA community is most effectively and efficiently organized on a quasi-paramilitary structure framework.
