Some friends of mine were telling a story of one of their relatives who visited one of Thomas Kinkade's galleries. It had the usual collection of overpriced prints, but what was so special was original art piece that was on display. It was behind velvet ropes or a curtain or something, and in the staff was giving the kind of reverence you might expect for the Mona Lisa. So you can add pompous to the list as well.
