From the seemingly mundane to the honestly monumental, so many goals have been achieved, so many barriers broken, relationships formed, and dreams realized, that in many ways, I believe that the DA as a whole is continually transcending the limitations of mere fandom. In doing so, we have striven and will continue to strive towards the creation of camaraderie, genuine friendships, bonds of trust, and even something more- a oft-neglected notion which my Italian forebears would have called spirito della famiglia. On all these fronts, in the preservation, enjoyment, and appreciation of [info]thanfiction 's work and in the strengthening of the larger community, I am utterly convinced that, together, we can cultivate a rich measure of growth and progress in the year to come.
