The swan song of one [info]thanfiction aka Andy Blake/VB, etc. He is leaving the internets forver. Maybe. If he doesn't die from his mysterious heart condition--he's going to college. Yes, sir. But he is unlikely to ever give up the cancer sticks.

n.b.: Please use the pronoun he when refering to Andy or face the wrath of pretty much everyone, but especially those who can ban your ass along with the rest of you.

eta: I didn't bother posting a link to Turi's reaction post because it was even more boring than Andy's brave farewell. But some sockpuppet comments to defend Andy.

As speculated in previous posts, all he'd need to do is downplay the manly-man-ness, turn up the old-fashioned romantic, and he'd have Twifen begging to be his fans and send him money. And they tend to be more gullible, plus there's the Twimoms with more cash than most fen. Anyway, he's already been spotted cosplaying Edward.

That would be a good place to re-appear, but I wonder if having to read the canon would be too much for even him to make it worth the money. Unless he took a shining to some of the secondary/minor characters and created an AU focusing on THE TRUE HEROES - EMBRY AND TANYA!

No, he definitely needs to stay out of Torchwood. We have enough wank without adding whomever-Andy-will-be-next to the mix.

The Jordan persona was running away from violence (forced participation in the IRA), and also had elements of the fey romantic hero. As VB, the story was that VB was running away from the Cold Cruel World Who Didn't Understand. So I think possibly the next time we see him, we'll find some kind of amalgam of Dying Andy, Sensitive Jordan, and Misunderstood VB. With something new thrown in, just to keep everyone off the trail.

Maybe Metal Gear Solid? The fandom itself isn't that drama-prone if you stick to the LJ-ficcish side and not game messageboards, but it is full of manly soldiers, tragedy, and ridiculousness and would lend itself to writing more angst-filled epics if he so chose. If he's on the bishie side he could dress up as Raiden, although he'd need a wig or some hair dye.

He needs something the size of DW, though. If he picks too small--relatively speaking--of a fandom, chances are high that he'll be found out quickly. But picking something huge like LotR or HP, where most people only interact with their small corner of it, he's less likely to get caught. Signal to noise and all that.

I don't know. I don't think DW has enough of the fantasy elements "Andy" seems to be drawn too.
