Hey Fandom Wank! Tired of Diana Gabaldon's fans not understanding the difference between fanfic and plagiarism? I know I am!

So let's have some real plagiarism!

Meet kittystrife. Her entire LJ, from fannish to personal posts, right down to the profile, appears to have been lifted from an assortment of other fans.

I am too lazy to link all the instances so far, but it all started here. Other links are here, here, and here.

Like musesfool, I swear those BSG ep reviews aren't hers, but I don't know who they belong to. I'm sure there's lots of other lifted stuff I don't know either. See anything you recognize?

Also, shall we start the countdown to deletion? 5...4...3...

Seriously. Plagarizing LJ posts. Like, not into some other medium, just taking other people's LJ posts and claiming they're yours. That's, like, a new record for being utterly pathetic.

Now taking bets! Is it going to be:

1. A "Social experiment"?

2. Bahleetotron'd?

3. Going to devolve into sockpuppet shenanigans?

4. Going to claim that those posts were hers first?

5. Some combination of above?

6. Something completely and utterly unexpected?

Place your bets!

Also, for those of you with more time on your hands than I have: Try copypasta-ing her posts into google with quote marks and seeing if you get hits from other journals. That should turn up sources on stuff that hasn't been ID'd yet.

I'm like O.o right now but very intrigued to see how this all plays out (and I hope it does ::crosses fingers:: ).

Personally, I am very lazy when it comes to blogging. I have opinions about stuff and junk but generally don't post unless I'm compelled to. It never crossed my mind to just take the opinions of someone else! That's a bit of special right there.

Sigh, baleetion. Not that I'm first to say that. However, here we go for a non-baleetable (unless she unbaleets) track in a comm.

Also, her MySpace (what google will let me see of it since MS/FB are blocked in the location in which I currently am located /MojoJojo) indicates that the LJ is supposed to be a mirror of that, soooo perhaps the actual social benefit from ye olde plagiarism is happening over there?

I'm trying to wrap my head around how boring and subpar your LJ profile would have to be before using the details of other people's lives would sound like a good idea. I mean, even if you had a humdrum life, dull interests, no friends, no pets, and no job worth blogging about, you could still lie.
