I never knew that, by writing fanfic, I was doing the equivalent of going up to 'professional' writers and punching them in the nose. Clearly I am doing something commensurate, since it seems to be offending so many 'professional' writers. Yet, somehow, I feel like the equivalent's just not good enough. It may just be time for actual nose-punching.
