	I'm not too fond of their prices. And notice how they seem to dress the models on the Torrid site mostly in ways that don't work on their figure types? 	I would think so.. that they'd have to get license from Slave Labor to sell whatever line of comics/merchandise. Thus I would think Vasquez would get a cut as well as any people who contributed to his work (i.e. Rikki Simons in I Feel Sick, the guys helping out with lettering in some of the early stuff...). I haven't seen any unlicensed Jhonen stuff at Hot Topic - the comics and collections are in fact from Slave Labor.

But...not everything at places like Hot Topic, Claire's, and those other mall chains is licensed. Many of the anime-print shirts, stickers, badges, etc. are outright bootlegs, or just small places who think it's okay to appropriate foreign graphics, old trademarks, or small press comics characters without bothering to pay for them. So it is actually important to look for some indication (copyright notice on a tag or whatever) that what you're buying is legit.

I just love the way the fact that perhaps Jhonen (the artist I presume- I know nothing about anything they're talking about) sold HT his stuff is because he's a "fucking rich corporate capatilist", or at least aspires to be one. I just love it when people think that artists create simply to "expose a truth" or whatnot, and have no interest in capitalising and getting shitloads of money.
