Oh, DeviantART... Never stop amusing me
So, finding wank on DeviantART is probably one of those fish-bucket things, but this one has been going on for at least a week and shows no signs of stopping. And has the potential to get all sorts of fun depending on what happens tonight! :)

madameLEOTA and borishu co-modded a little Disney art group called DisneyArtistsUnited and things seemed nice and peaceful. Then about the beginning of last week, everything on DisneyArtistsUnited mysteriously disappeared - all the saved images & all the blogs. And both lead actors of our little drama had their admin status removed. It looked as if the group had been quite seriously been hacked.

Now, I tried to figure out exactly when everything went belly-up, but the first actual mention I could find any any blogs or comments across both mod's personal DeviantArt pages and the group was in madameLEOTA's reply on 5/9/11 to another DeviantArtist who was thanking him for a favorite:

madameLEOTA: Hey...have you noticed that our group DisneyArtistsUnited had been hacked?! All the submissions were deleted... the entire group is blank - it's even worst, there aren't any co-founder or contributors... someone must delete all the settings.

Maybe I should create a new Disney group... would you like to be my new co-founder? I couldn't think of someone better... you're my No. 1 top Disney fan artist here on deviantART and it would an honor to have you in my team!!!

And within a day madameLEOTA had created the World of Disney DeviantArt group, had installed somebody other than borishu as co-mod, managed to copy over all the rules, and started invited people into the group. And oh - never once advertised this new group on the old group that I was able to find, not even in the comments which since there are comments from at least 5/9 mentioning the hacking, were still working.

Over the next few days, people started trickling over to the new group, although with the lack of actual communication or advertisement, there still was lots of confusion as to what was going on . Then, our second player, borishu entered stage left on the 14th with a tearful blog post to the hacked group:
It appears our group has been hacked... I have no idea when, and if i'll be able to fix this... I am so sorry to you all. Im close to tears right now, and im going to try to get this handled. in the meantime, please calm down, and if you can, help me. I have never had this happen to me.

Tearfully,
bo

Then, 13 minutes after that blog post... she makes another post to the group:
Well i believe that i have gotten to the bottom of this. I believe that our friend madameleota has done this. He has banned me from even talking to him, so i cannot get to the bottom of this by myself. I need everyone heres help. He has started a group called (i believe) the wonderful world of disney. DO NOT join this group. He has done this in a fit of immaturity and Im very upset. If there was EVER a time that you could help, please make it now. Help me get justice to our group.

There are the standard cries of outrage, tales of horror at the hands of the evil mastermind madameLEOTA, but also a few more sensible heads asking for proof. So, borishu provides the proof the next day - in the form of 5 screencaps of the logs from the hack group: One Two Three Four and Five. Now I'm gonna admit my ignorance here, I've never ran a DeviantArt group and never plan to. So I have no idea what half the stuff in this log means, so if there's anyone in the audience who might be able to shed a bit of light, I'll certainly appreciate it.

Well, of course, madameLEOTA isn't exactly going to take that sort of accusation stand. So he puts up his own blog and the blog in the new group. And then uploads his own screenshot of a reply chain between him and borishu. (WARNING! This particular screenshot veers a little too much into UFB territory. I'm not going there, this wank report ain't going there, and so far from what I've seen of the comments, practically nobody involved goes there except a few lines in this screenshot. So, let's just concentrate on the wackiness and not the UFB stuff before we make the FW mods cranky, okay?)

Now, obviously at this point we have to very conflicting screenshots here. And borishu certainly isn't about to just let this go either and so yesterday, she announces on the group blog that yes, she's seen the evidence, it's all a pack of lies, and she's gonna do a LIVE STREAM just to prove she's telling the truth. And also in the tradition of plucky internet detectives everywhere, several on DeviantArt have already started picking apart madameLEOTA's screenshot in the comments (links go to the comment):
Spiky-Valentine: Shouldn't the [link] at the bottom be a dark deviant art green color if it was an actual link in the notes system? Also, I heard someone else mention that the date didn't look right at the top. The 1 and 3 in 13 looked too close together and the 3 looked a bit cut off?
chibs-panda: He wouldn't have had to photoshop it. He just would have had to open your conversation and type it all in.
Sheppard56: I agree with you here. There's no solid evidence beyond images that are easily Photshopped. There's a possible slip up on that link of his image, since the 3 in the 13 of "May 13, 2011, 11:56:35 AM", doesn't look quite right and may have been altered. I'm sure there could be other things like that in the other 'evidence', but I think it'll be a while before the 'truth' comes out, if at all.

Now, if madameLEOTA has his own plucky internet detectives finding errors in borishu's screenshots, well... I can't find them anywhere. His supports mainly seem to like copying and pasting the same comment all over the hacked group.

Supposedly, there's been a DeviantArt report filed on the hacking itself by borishu - although nothing's been mentioned by either side on what the status of that report. The LiveStream that borishu's been mentioning is suppose to be happening right about... now and so I'm going to be glued to my monitor to watch. And she promised to post it up afterward so anyone not around to watch it can do so then. (If anyone else wants to watch with me, here's the link to her LiveStream.)

But in case that way too teal deer for you... I shall summarized!

1) Disney Art group ran by Mod #1 & Mod #2 on DeviantArt was hacked, everything deleted.
2) Mod #1 creates new group, invites somebody to be co-mod - not Mod #2
3) Mod #2 says "Wah! Mod #1 deleted everything so he can make his own group!" Provides group log screencaps to prove it
4) Mod #1 says "Nuy-huh! Mod #2 set me up as she is a big meanie!" Provides screenshot of DeviantArt message to prove it
5) Battles lines are drawn, people pick sides... and everyone else is all confuzzed to which screenshot is actually 'shopped. And I realize that I've been obsessively refreshing all pages involved several times a day and decide this needs to be shared.

ETA: borishu's Live Stream videos seem to show exactly what her screenshots do, although to be fair I don't have sound and the video quality isn't the best. So far all I know she's doing some serious evil cackling about how she'll get madameLEOTA and his little dog too! You can watch the 3 videos she did last night on her Live Stream account.. madameLEOTA has, as of yet, not responded to the videos.
