	not only did Castiel, angel of the lord and character played by Troll Extraordinare Misha Collins go bad, word breaks out that he no longer has regular status in season 7. I'm not in the fandom and I haven't even seen a full episode of this show and I still went all wide-eyed at this. FW has taught me well, it seems. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Considering S6 opened with Castiel declaring that he and Dean are profoundly bonded, had an exchange where Dean and Cas discussed whether or not Cas had actually ever been in Dean's ass, had every character call Dean Cas's boyfriend, had Crowley mention that Cas came back with "the stench of that Impala all over [his] overcoat" followed by sullen got-caught-cheating looks on Cas's part, had more longing looks of longing from the both of them than I care to count, gave them an epic break-up that lasted three episodes (and had tears on both sides), and ended with Castiel going complete bunny-boiler on Dean and tell him that if he doesn't say he loves him, he'll destroy him, that one is just making me laugh.

	If I have learned anything in my long and painful history with various fandoms, it's that star billing really does mean fuck-all. Case in point: Star-billing!Misha wasn't even in about a third of the episodes this season, and he often only had a couple of scenes in the episodes in which he did appear. TBH I'd be more upset about the potentially evil part (so, wait, he's an evil god? ...strike that, that sounds awesome) than the billing. Some characters are better in limited portions, especially when they kind of have a schtick thing going on (not being able to phone is hilarious, but if he did it every episode it'd get old reeeal fast). And some characters can be just as awesome in three episodes as others are all season (see: Kristin Chenoweth still shows up on Glee occasionally, is the highlight of the show EVERY TIME).

A friend is now convinced I have a psychic connection with the show - in a chapter to my fic I posted right before the episode where Crowley turns out not to be dead, I had surprise!Crowley, and in the chapter I posted right before the finale, I had one of the character remark that Jo was pretty much the only one in the group who hadn't betrayed or been betrayed by someone else in the group. [/cool story bro]

Personally, I was just impressed that they didn't kill off Lisa. And sad that despite the Lovecraft all over the place, Cthulu didn't turn out to be the big bad of season seven - that woulda been awesome.

I'm still going to watch the show anyway. Cas or no Cas. If I can go on after they killed Bela, Ash, and Pam, I can live without Cas.
Just because he might not be a regular doesn't mean he's leaving. Jim Beaver isn't a regular and he was in more episodes than Misha this past season. Maybe Misha wants to concentrate on other work. Or his charity. Or whatever. I doubt he would totally go away.
