These are the writings of isntitironic of fandom_wank, which she posts, in the hope of thereby preserving from deletion the rememberance of what players have said, and preventing the wanky and ridiculous actions of both sides from losing their due meed of mockery; and withal to put on record what were the grounds of the wank.

Right. If you're on YouTube much, you've seen ads for Grepolis, which is actually not a bad little game in which you build ancient Greek cities and can have battles with other players. For mutual protection, players organize themselves into Alliances. Within an Alliance there are positions like leader, diplomat, etc. You can read more about it on the Wiki if you're curious. The world the game occurs in is divided into areas called oceans, and within the alliance each one has an ocean leader (OL), who coordinates whatever wars are going on in that ocean.

I belong to an alliance called the Phalanx, led by Ms. Sapphire Sorrows, and today I logged in to find this in my inbox:

This is a mass mail sent to the entire Phalanx Alliance.

I am sick of the backstabbing, and the beyond horrible treatment i have received from Nemanja/igor/filip i am never sure which one is talking since they all use the accounts to talk to me.

I am going to bed soon and i want to be sure that EVERYONE knows exactly what is happening.

Should filip, nemanja not even try to help move forward with the alliance then they shall have their wish, i shall leave the alliance. Because i should not have to deal with what they are putting me through - particularly when i am supposed to be celebrating. I am not going to let them ruin my happiness. I will leave Phalanx primarily because i cannot watch Phalanx fall after putting so much effort, so much time into leading this alliance.

I can quite happily post the discussion in the Phalanx chatroom for those who do not have access. In that chatroom both filip and igor stated they would step back and leave things for a day, and obviously they have not.

If you don't like it then you can leave - but i am not forcing you to leave and i am not going to boot you. It is your decision whether you want to be reasonable and discuss this like an adult. While you continue to act like a child i will continue delete messages that you post that are off topic.

Either contribute and help the alliance or leave. That is the bottom line.

I am not the general. I think you'll find that the SENATE, THE ENTIRE SENATE decided against electing another general as OLs were doing the same job and there was no need for an over-general.

Can you stop and just think for a second? The Archon Basilieus is not executive power. It clearly states so in the constitution. The same constitution which you turn to know - but would completely disregard when it doesn't work for you.

As i have said MANY TIMES BEFORE, yes the constitution needs updating. This is something you are not willing to concentrate on - you would rather kick me out of my position because things aren't all going your way. I'm Sorry but i can no longer cater to your and your brother's petty insults and arguments. You just aren't listening to what is being said and it's not only making you look bad, it's making our alliance look bad - particularly to newer members i am sure.

I am not the council of four. Members of the council left for another alliance, leaving Sceeth and i.
My position is not up for re-election because the current Archon chooses the successor. I was chosen after i got the most votes out of the nominees that Ingmundaro had when he said he was going to be less active. However i am most certainly not going to be any less active. Therefore i will not look for a replacement. There will be no nominees or votes for my replacement.
However i am not disregarding elections for other regions, i think we need to know exactly what leaders are to do and such.

To actually move forward instead of letting you argue i am going to do something suggested by TangoFoxtrot. I am going to close this thread and open a new one, and then another if necessary so we can deal with our issues, in a more methodical manner than what you, nemanja and igor have decided.

The first thread will be asking what people expect of OLs. Then we will go to senate, Judge, Forum admin and Archon - so we all have a general understanding of who does what.
Then we can do the elections of positions if necessary. It is currently equal for vote and not vote.
The constitution will need to be assessed as well but that cannot be done until we know exactly who the members of the senate are.

filip and igor and nemanja ( i notice nemanja and filip are not online at the same time, perhaps one can tell the other). You need to stop making this personal and public. As i am still your leader i expect you to respect this. There will be no more replying on forums, from any of us. If i see such a post i will delete it - regardless of content. It is a dishonor to Phalanx. I will open the new thread presently, and take away the important notification on this thread tomorrow.

As to the 'leave' accusations. What people are saying is that if you are not happy with the alliance then you can leave. Not that you have to leave. Not that they want you to leave. It is you taking it that they want you to leave....and it is you saying you will stay and fight. There should be no fight. If you see this as a fight then you have already left our alliance as you do not want to help it.
No one should have to leave because of your personal issues. Keep it personal and private or take it out the door. Those are the options - there is no more middle ground.

You are effectively ruining this alliance - which is lower than disgusting behaviour. Grow up and show some respect for the players who are in Phalanx. Not me - obviously you cannot respect a leader. You are pathetic if you think that your 'right' to bitch about leadership superceeds the alliance's right to play grepolis. You are not the centre of the universe. And if you don't value Phalanx above your own pride then you are no use to Phalanx.

If you don't like being civil on forum the get lost. leave Phalanx and start your own alliance.

We are doing it in order. If you don't like that tough cookies. The rest of the alliance should not have to deal with your personal issue because you want them too. Think of someone else for once.

And i hope you stop cheating - because what you and your brother have done is far worse now in my opinion. I warned you - and you decide to attack me for it. I'm through with standing up for you, and i refuse to let you bring down Phalanx because you think it would be better as a completely different alliance. If you don't like this alliance no-one and nothing is stopping you from leaving. But Phalanx shouldn't have to answer to you. We are all given the right to talk - not just you. And out of respect for the other members who you forget, and the regions that to you do not exist - i will delete any public posts in i find in which you attack me or try to incense another argument like this one. You have dishonoured Phalanx greatly.

Unfortunately, I haven't been on the forum in a few days, so I missed the original smackdown. All that's left are the aftershocks above and the promised 'what do you think an OL is?' thread, which is so far very polite and occupied almost soley by Phalanx higher-ups.

I want to inform you as Ocean 23-33-24-34 leader that I resign from my position in 24 hours from now.

I am sorry to say but I am going out of Phalanx as well.

The reason for this is that your leader sapphire sorrows is not letting people vote for the leader of the alliance. She is claiming that she is queen of Phalanx and she is the only one who can choose the successor of hers.

I do not want to discuss this any more, I just want to play, THIS IS JUST A GAME. Therefore, I leave the alliance and let her have her own alliance owned. I see that she has this game more important than a real life and every asking for elections she accepts as a personal attack.

I am sure sapphire will now make some changes in Phalanx claiming that is it. Of course she will stay queen forever. It will not be my problem any more but yours in Phalanx.

I served for the best of my alliance and all the players in it. Everything I have done was for the alliance improvement.
