Nope. I have nothing but utter confusion.

While I think Tumblr's obsession with West Collins is strange (don't get me wrong: he's adorable, and I watched that whole video while going, "Yup, that's a toddler."), it never occurred to me that there would be a violent and ugly backlash to that.

I mean, this is some downright appalling behavior. It's a ship. On a show that, frankly, somehow survived longer than it should have. (I love it, but seriously.)
