Obsessive fan does something obsessive and fannish as a result, not realizing how it could look? Oh, sure. Happens all the time, in various forms.

People respond "hey, not cool"? Points for decency and common sense, doubled for Supernatural ("So rare it's a superpower.")

And then we get "no, he deserves it," and my brain responds, "check, please!"
