I re-read the Msscribe account/biography and it was superbly entertaining, even the second time around. I honestly think a part of what made that wank so epic was the way Msscribe played Fandom_wank with her Sporkify account to increase her own persecution/infamy and so the f_w community was equally conned but also that the eventual write-up was just so well-written.

It also captures a very certain BNF-centric time in the HP fandom. I don't know many current fandoms intimately but I daresay they aren't really as focused on the BNFs as the HP fandom was back then. I'd just arrived in 2003 and was astounded by the way some of these people were followed/worshipped.
