Just In Time For FW's Anniversary!
My friends:

I have just found a wank that arguably combines elements of three of the classic wanks recently featured in the Deathmatch: His Wife, A Horse, the Snapewives, and My Ponies Hate You Now.

Simply put: Deviant Art member Kevinsano specializes in My Little Pony art. However, another Bronie recently wrote him a letter asking him to curtail his more erotic MLP art, particularly art depicting Twilight Sparkle - because, argued this correspodent, he and Twilight Sparkle were engaged.

I'm totally head over heels in love with Twilight Sparkle. I have been for 11 months now and at this point I'm in a committed relationship with my Twiley.

Actual email reproduced here. MTV coverage here, and the AV club weighs in here.

Enjoy.

Updated: For your convenience, a dramatic reading of the letter, if you prefer podcasts...

Update the Second: The blushing bridegroom's account of his love story on the MLP fandom fora. (I couldn't get the link to the profile to work, so than you for this!) (Update of the update: link now goes to a Googlecache as the forum link proper stopped working.)

When his pony girlfriend starts an argument with him because she doesn't feel like Thai food tonight and wants sushi instead, I'll believe their relationship is real.

Actually, no, maybe that'd actually just be worse.

He says earlier in the post that he has regular arguments with Rarity (about small things) thus proving she is indeed the real Rarity, so. Yes. Make of that what you will.

Nevermind, I have gravely been mistaken, apparently theirs is a torrid affair, but it's okay, he's been to her planet:

Now I realize that after reading this a number of you may be scratching your heads and asking yourself "did he just claim to live in Equestria?", or thinking "if he knows she is 'imaginary' by posting in this thread, then why does he let himself have fights with her", my answer to you is yes, she is real and I have indeed been to her planet. Someday I will explain my story in full much as Jin did, but for now suffice it to say that for several months in the summer of '12, I achieved a level of consciousness that I was able to "project" myself into Equestria.

Snapewives are starting to look super-tame in comparison.

Well, of course he did. Everyone does. They're called dreams. I guess he didn't get the memo about dreams not being real. Or maybe he's watched Inception too many times?

Bronies aren't going to stop until they top every other fandom in every other way, including crazy.

Okay, in the name of all that's good and holy I'm calling a halt to ever using the words "bronies" and "top" in the same sentence.

Once, only once, I went to check out the sex doll forum on the advice of a friend.

These dolls at the time cost about $4000 and could be accessorized like you wouldn't believe. They are life sized. They have vibrators installed in various orifices. The fingers are poseable so the guy can have his doll give him a hand job. I KNOW.

The real action was on the owner's forums, not that they're owners, nonono that would be wrong.

So I'm reading about guys buying clothing for their dolls and having to sleep on the sofa when they don't buy exactly the right kind of negligee or panties. I'm reading about guys crying because according to their dolls they can't do anything right. I'm reading about guys who aren't allowed to watch this or that on TV because the doll gets angry and won't give them any that night.

And I flashed back to I think the Twilight Zone ep about the abusive stepfather who came up against a protective doll and lost, you know?

No, I'm not linky linking. Google, it's there. I doubt it's gotten saner. That was years ago.

All those years of evolution for this.

I love that episode.

As for the doll thing... I get a twitch when women refer to their sex toys as their "boyfriends", but I've never seen one mean it seriously. Wow.

The criteria would be:

Do they make a bazillion snacks so their mutual friends can come over and watch the big game AND

Does the 'boyfriend' ever yell TOUCHDOWN at the wrong moment (unless you wanna laugh while having sex, nothing wrong with that).

Or fail them due to too much beer or wine as opposed to needing fresh batteries.

I suppose ultimately if the battery costs never exceed to the cost of some man going to Victoria's Secret to outfit his doll...probably not the same thing at all. :D

Oh man, the doll drama! I can't decide which is worse now: to have this totally fantastic(al) perfect relationship with an inanimate object/fictional character or to have that relationship be troubled in the same way that real relationships can be troubled. Still, it's not like the guys imagining arguments with their dolls or ponies are anything like real arguments - again, it's this fake construct of the real thing.

I saw that documentary about real doll owners, I did flash back to it, reading the Red Light pony forums.

You just reminded me of this. To save you from clicking, the link goes to a Regretsy post a custom-made stuffed pony with a pocket in the back-end for insertion. Basically, a penis pony puppet that I had banished from my mind.

Reminds me of "Better Than Life", when Rimmer's computer game fantasy turns him into a streetwalker with an abusive pimp because his subconscious hates him...

Is that the books? 'cause I just saw that episode and he got his thumbs broke by the revenue service, but no prostitution.

It's in the book. Lister basically ends up living in It's A Wonderful Life, and Rimmer ends up turning into a woman and being forced into prostitution. They eventually escape by Kryton burning messages into Lister's arms in the real world.

The books are way darker than the TV show.

Don't get me wrong, it's brilliantly written and bits of it are incredibly funny. But the state of them when they get out of the game is just...ugh.
