Word. I remember looking at Tumblr back in -- 2009, I think? And in the non-fandom sector, there were a lot of people bitching about how hard it was to be Tumblr famous ... which they were because they were posting photos. Then they'd post asks about how their Tumblr was the best ever, omg.

Man, at least in my day, you had to know HTML and either own a domain and hosting package or find a domain owner willing to host you. And, you know, write your own goddamn content.

I can never, ever figure out what the hell is going on whenever Tumblr is involved, because the way the reply/repost function works makes me wish for a flowchart.
