I find it hilarious. Of all the people my age or younger that I know/grew up with, the only person who didn't touch a soccer ball at some point in their lives is me. All four of my siblings were/are avid soccer players, and in my house everything stops for Sounders games. (It also stops for Seahawks games and god help you if you try to change the channel.) It's just like. Did you not realize that we practically invented the idea of the soccer mom?
True story: I graduated from North Thurston High School in Olympia, which is most famous for being Kasey Keller's alma mater. When they built the grocery store right behind the school, they named the street running along it Kasey Keller Drive. (His mom was my 7th grade algebra teacher. /cool story bro)
