I googled this, and apparently, due to New York City's sheer size, they have the largest market for college football, at least. The density of fans is less, but by sheer numbers, New York City takes the cake. Here:

Anytime anybody says anything along the lines of "all people in (this group/place) think", it's best to give them the side eye, especially when said place is the largest city in the United States.

Besides, I'm pretty sure this guy defines NYC as consisting of "me and my friends".
