Considering that most mass-market paperbacks will eventually make their way to the recycle bin/landfill (when they fall apart, if they're lucky; when the bookstore needs more shelf space if they're not), I'd actually be kinda honored if I wrote a book and someone preserved parts of it like this.

I wonder what would happen if I were to (theoretically, mind; I'm not about to troll the wank) tell these people what happens to all those books in the bookstore that no one buys? And point out that many bookstores will order more copies of books from popular authors than they are likely to sell, just so they will be sure to always have some in stock?
