Okay so reading up on the con this morning (ye gods why did I do that)
There were two different girls
The one that got boo'd was going to ask a shipping question and doesn't seem too upset. She's been trying to take questions to clarify the situation but at this point the wank is pretty spread out.
The second girl, the one that was going to ask about "It Gets Better" didn't even get to ask her question and was rudely turned down. I don't know the reasons why but these are two different incidents.
So a slight bit of humanity restored but only insofar as that it seems to be firmly tied to shipping wank and bad convention behavior all around than to biphobia.
