I... I don't get it. People have been drawing humanized ponies and writing AUs since the show began. Now that Hasbro is doing it, it's suddenly terrible?

I want to grab someone on that side of the fandom and shake them hard while demanding, "Start making SENSE!", but there's several reasons that would be a bad idea.

(I note that Hasbro is dodging one of the most common points of fan-wank over said human ponies - "what color should ____ be?" - by just keeping them the same.)
