The film, entitled “Equestria Girls,” is about Twilight Sparkle getting sucked into the human world, turning into a human, and winding up in what appears to be a technicolor version of Mean Girls.

So some Hasbro execs were reading through fanfic and thought "Hey, let's make this one into a movie"?
