I'm not sure what the age of consent in California is, but it creeps me out more when fic goes the Everlasting Love At Sixteen route. Even in fandom you'd think that most people would be aging that relationship for it to make sense, right?

Personally, I think Jennifer is the dumbest English teacher ever (who the hell uses Romeo&Juliet as an example of fake deaths that worked?!), and her whole romance with Derek is creepily Twilight. I can't hate it, though, because they're adorably pretty together and I'm shallow like that. Also, Derek nearly smiled at her once. That's love.
