Don't bet on it. I haven't read CC's books (only a lulzy sporking of the first one) but I've read SRB's first. It overdid the whole "starting with a bang" thing, though it was okay for a little while after that before I felt like I was constantly groaning because of how "quippy" her characters are. If every line out of every character's mouth is supposed to give side-splitting lulz (it failed at this, but she tried SO HARD) then anything truly funny doesn't stand out and it's just tiresome. And the big reveal was obvious from several miles away. It's the school of writing where you treat every plot problem like a nail, so every solution is a hammer. That book was wall to wall hammers.
