Exactly. If it wasn't Cassie Clare I'd be a lot more willing to offer some leeway and think 'okay, she talked to them a lot and then saw the movie and realised they'd not listened to her as much as they needed to'. But it is Cassie, and so I think she's lying to cover her own arse because that's what she does.
