Agreed. I wouldn't be side-eyeing her original work and the trajectory of her writing career so much if, back in the day, she had properly owned up to the plagiarism and then proceeded to never do it (and the related cyberbullying) again. I might still be like "wow, this is so derivative" when reading her books, but I wouldn't be as inclined to want to tell people to stay away from her completely. Post a comment in response: |
